About Us
Our group carries out research into ways in which data can be analysed, mined and visualised in order to gain insights that allow better decision making in a wide range of activities.
Our research is focused in three streams:
Applying fuzzy logic, genetic algorithms, and agent negotiation to the solution of problems, mainly in the e-commerce domain including workflow management and supply chain management.
Applying various data mining algorithms to discover patterns and derive useful insights in a number of application domains including online data streams and physical security.
Applying information visualisation, mainly within the collaboration systems domain including wikis and workspace systems.
Students: If you are a current or prospective graduate student of our department and find the things we do interesting get in touch with us. Suitable candidates may join our research for their thesis project. We especially welcome full-time students with strong skills in both research and programming.
Researchers: If you are a researcher anywhere in the world and are interested in collaborative research with us we welcome you to get in touch with us.
