This course introduces fundamental concepts and advanced topics concerning the design and implementation of machine translation (MT) systems for postgraduate students. It covers from the analysis of source language in different levels to the generation of text in another language. The main contents include overviews of translation architectures, translation paradigms, language analysis, language generation, rule-based MT, example-based MT, and statistic-based MT.
