2nd Artificial Intelligence Training Workshop for Local High School 2 June, 2019
面向本地高中生的第二次人工智能訓練營 2019年6月2日

In August 2019, the department of Computer and Information Science (CIS) will host The 28th International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence (IJCAI 2019) in Macau, which is a Class-A conference in the area of Artificial Intelligence.

In order to introduce this great event to the local community, the CIS department and Alibaba Cloud will co-host a local AI challenge competition to our local high schools. The detail of the competition can be found in http://conferences.cis.umac.mo/aichallenge/. The registration is now opened to all Macau High School Students.

For the preparation of the competition, four professors (Prof. Long CHEN, Prof. Shirley SIU, Prof. Derek WONG, Prof. Ryan U, and Prof. Bob ZHANG) and a team from Alibaba Cloud have already offered the 1st training workshop to the high school students on last year. On 2 June 2019, our team offer the 2nd workshop to the high school students, where the topics cover Cloud Computing, Computation Environment, Image Processing, Fundamental Machine Learning, and Basic Deep Learning, etc.

為向本地相關社團推介即將到來的學術盛宴，電腦及資訊科學系與阿里雲聯合主辦了面向澳門本地高中生的人工智能挑戰賽。本挑戰賽的決賽階段將會與人工智能領域的頂級會議IJCAI 2019聯合承辦。詳情請查詢：http://conferences.cis.umac.mo/aichallenge/，現正開放注冊。

為備戰此次競賽，在2018年12月15日與16日的周末， 五位來自電腦及資訊科學系的教授（陳龍教授、蕭詠然教授、黃輝教授、余亮豪教授和張一博教授）與來自阿里雲的工作小組一同為澳門本地高中生舉辦了一場人工智能訓練營。第二次的工作坊在剛剛 6月2日舉行，此次訓練營培訓內容包括了雲端運算、運算環境布置、圖像處理、機器學習與深度學習基礎知識等。
