UM students awarded 1^st runner up at IEEE Project Competition 2019

A team of BSc students (Zhang Hanxiang and Xu Chongchao) was awarded the 1st runner up at the IEEE Project Competition 2019. Their project entitled, "Non-Invasive Multi-Disease Detection via Face and Tongue Image Analysis Using Deep Learning", proposed an Intelligent Disease Detection (iDD) system, which is a non-invasive multi-class disease (heart and diabetes) detection system via the analysis of facial and tongue images. The same project was also awarded the department's best overall final year project for the 2018/19 academic year. Prof. Zhang Yibo Bob supervised the students.
