FST holds Dean’s Final Year Project List Presentation Ceremony and Project Exhibition 2016

The University of Macau's (UM) Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) held the Dean's Final Year Project List Presentation Ceremony and Project Exhibition 2016 on 3rd June. The event aimed to recognize outstanding graduates and showcase what the students accomplished after four years of study. More than 100 people attended the event, including industry practitioners, students and their family members.
A number of distinguished projects were exhibited in the event. These projects were developed by students from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Department of Computer and Information Science, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Department of Electromechanical Engineering; and they cover such areas as structural, environmental and hydraulic engineering; computer graphics and visual computing; software engineering; biomedical engineering; power engineering; robotics; materials engineering; automotive engineering; and human factors engineering. At the exhibition, some students also presented their design concepts and gave on-site demonstration. Prof. Wong Pak Kin, the Associate Dean (Academic Affairs) of the FST said that the exhibition not only provided a platform for students to interact with industry practitioners, but it also served as a window for the industry to know more about the students’ talents and skills. Prof. Wong said it can certainly improve the level of education and research at the FST.
The Dean’s Final Year Project List recognizes students with outstanding final-year projects. Students who made the list this year are Ngan Fong AO, Wai Hou WONG, Shijie WEN, Chong CHAN and I Cheng CHAN from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering; Chengshuo XU, Wun Teng LAM, Cheok Hou LEI, Kit Kan WONG, Wai Lon FAN, Ka Chon WONG, Sio Keong CHOI, Ka Wai MOK and Chon Teng WONG from the Department of Computer and Information Science; Ka Fai NG, Ka Chon WONG, Ka Chon MIO, Teng Chong LAO, Ka Fai LON, Changhe LI, Ziyu LIU, Zihao ZHENG, Lai WEI, Song CUI, Linxuan WANG and Xinwei MAO from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering; as well as Shihao WEN, In Nam LEI, Zeyi WU, Chao San LAM, Son Fai UN, Keng Fai CHENG, Sio Hong CHAN, Wai Fan IAN, Wenhao BAI, Man Long AO IEONG, Jing XU, Ngok Lam LEONG and Kun Wai U from the Department of Electromechanical Engineering.
Distinguished guests attending the event included Mr. Kun Wai CHEANG, the Member of the Council of Administration of the Science and Technology Development Fund (FDCT); Dr. Ka Hung SHUEN, the Director-General of The Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Centre (CPTTM); Mr. Simon YOUNG, the Manager of Cables and Underground Facilities Unit, Transmission and Distribution Department; Mr. Kuai Son CHAN, the Deputy Council President of The Macau Institution of Engineers. Executive Council Member of Participants also included teachers, students and working group members of the Dean’s Final Year Project List 2016.
“二○一六澳門大學科技學院畢業設計院長榮譽榜頒獎典禮暨項目展覽”日前舉行，吸引不少業界人士、學生及家長參觀，場面熱鬧。澳大希望透過此活動嘉許表現突出的優秀畢業生，展示其四年努力學習的成果。
澳大科技學院學術事務副院長王百鍵教授首先致歡迎辭，為活動揭開序幕。是次展覽展出科技學院土木及環境工程系、電腦及資訊科學系、電機及電腦工程系和機電工程系學生多件畢業設計作品，內容涵蓋結構、環境及水力工程、電腦圖學與視覺計算、軟件工程、生物醫學工程、電力工程、機器人、材料工程、汽車工程、人因工程等領域，多元豐富且具創意，部份學生更即場演示及介紹其畢業設計概念。王百鍵教授表示，各界的建議和支持有助科技學院優化教學和提升科研水平，希望透過展覽為學生提供一個與業界交流的平台，汲取各方意見不斷進步，同時亦讓業界了解該院畢業生的專長和才能。
今年榮登科技學院畢業設計榮譽榜的學生分別是：土木及環境工程系的歐雁楓、黃偉豪、溫世傑、陳聰、陳以靖；電腦及資訊科學系的徐承碩、藍煥婷、李卓浩、黃杰勤、樊偉倫、黃嘉俊、蔡兆強、莫嘉偉、黃俊廷；電機及電腦工程系的吳家輝、黃嘉俊、繆嘉俊、劉定中、倫嘉輝、李長河、劉子煜、鄭子豪、韋來、崔嵩、王臨軒、毛馨緯；以及機電工程系的溫世豪、李燕南、吳澤毅、林周燊、袁順輝、鄭景輝、陳肇康、甄偉勳、柏文浩、歐陽文龍、徐婧、梁岳霖、余觀緯。經嚴格評選，土木及環境工程系的歐雁楓、電腦及資訊科學系的徐承碩、電機及電腦工程系的吳家輝、黃嘉俊、繆嘉俊，以及機電工程系的溫世豪、李燕南、吳澤毅榮登院長榮譽榜的學系優秀畢業設計。
出席活動的嘉賓包括澳門科學技術發展基金行政委員鄭冠偉、澳門生產力暨科技轉移中心理事長孫家雄博士、澳門電力股份有限公司電纜及地下設施科輸配電部經理容聲明、澳門工程師學會副理事長陳桂舜，以及科技學院畢業設計院長榮譽榜二○一六工作小組成員及一眾師生。
