Artificial Intelligence Training Workshop for Local High School 15-16 Dec, 2018
面向本地高中生的人工智能訓練營 2018年12月15-16日

In 2019, the department of Computer and Information Science (CIS) will host three internationally renowned conferences in the areas of Data Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Mining in Macau

• The 35th IEEE International Conference on Data Engineering (ICDE 2019)
• The 28th International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence (IJCAI 2019), and
• The Pacific-Asia Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining (PAKDD2019).

In order to introduce these great events to the local community, the CIS department and Alibaba Cloud will co-host a local AI challenge competition to our local high schools. The final round of the competition will co-locate with IJCAI 2019, where the detail can be found in http://conferences.cis.umac.mo/aichallenge/.

For the preparation of the competition, four professors (Prof. Long CHEN, Prof. Derek WONG, Prof. Ryan U, Prof. Bob ZHANG) and a team from Alibaba Cloud offered a training workshop to the high school students on 15-16 Dec 2018. The workshop attracted more than 130 students from 15 high schools, where the topics cover Cloud Computing, Computation Environment, Image Processing, Fundamental Machine Learning, and Basic Deep Learning, etc.

澳門大學電腦及資訊科學系將於2019年在澳門本地主辦三個國際知名學術會議，涉及研究領域包括數據工程、人工智能與數據挖掘：

為向本地相關社團推介即將到來的學術盛宴，電腦及資訊科學系與阿里雲聯合主辦了面向澳門本地高中生的人工智能挑戰賽。本挑戰賽的決賽階段將會與人工智能領域的頂級會議IJCAI 2019聯合承辦。詳情請查詢：http://conferences.cis.umac.mo/aichallenge/

為備戰此次競賽，在2018年12月15日與16日的周末，四位來自電腦及資訊科學系的教授（陳龍教授、黃輝教授、余亮豪教授和張一博教授）與來自阿里雲的工作小組一同為澳門本地高中生舉辦了一場人工智能訓練營。此次訓練營培訓內容包括了雲端運算、運算環境布置、圖像處理、機器學習與深度學習基礎知識等。來自澳門本地的15間高中共計超過130位學生參與了此次訓練營。
